Arsenal legend offers remarkable snub to Tottenham’s current side.

Arsenal legend Robert Pires has offered a stinging rebuke to rivals Tottenham by insisting not a single one of their players would get into their team.

In a video posted online by Sporf, Pires was quizzed about the current Gunners squad.

Asked how many Tottenham players would make it in, Pires responded: “Mmmmm… I don’t know. Nobody.”

Unfortunately for Pires’ Gunners, Arsenal finished below Tottenham last season for the first time in two decades.

While Arsenal will be bidding to show that was just a fluke, their case would certainly be helped if they had a centre-back as good as Toby Alderweireld, midfielders like Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli, and the Premier League’s top scorer in Harry Kane.

Pires is kidding himself if he genuinely believes otherwise, and the Gunners could be in even more danger if they cannot hold onto star man Alexis Sanchez this summer, who has been linked with a shock move to Manchester City by The Express.
