Robert Green joined Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United goalkeeper Robert Green has revealed to The Yorkshire Evening Post what head coach Garry Monk told him when he joined the club.
Green moved to Leeds in the summer transfer window after leaving Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season.
The 36-year-old, who has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Elland Road, has revealed what Monk told him about young players at the club.

The former Norwich City and West Ham United goalkeeper has also stated that Monk was right about his analysis of the young players at Leeds.
“When I first signed the manager told me he had some really good young lads,” Green told The Yorkshire Evening Post.
“He’s right – they’re very good but they’re very young and in the circumstances Tuesday was huge.”

Leeds returned to winning ways in the Championship on Tuesday evening when they got the better of Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Elland Road.
The West Yorkshire outfit are aiming to finish in the top six of the league table this season, but the Whites’ performances and results so far this season have been far from encouraging.
Monk’s side will take on Cardiff City away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
