Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has made seven appearances at Elland Road so far.

Robert Green has told Leeds United’s official website that he is delighted with the impact that Pontus Jansson has made at Elland Road.
Jansson was brought to Leeds on loan from Torino, and he has made an immediate impact at the Yorkshire club.
The Swedish international has stepped into Leeds’ defence, and immediately become a cult hero for the Whites.
Jansson’s commanding and passionate performances have made him a real fans’ favourite, and Green admits the squad are just as happy with the 24-year-old’s addition as the supporters.

“Pontus is certainly a character and he’s really galvanised the fans and been a focal point for them which for the rest of us is great,” the goalkeeper said.
“As long as we keep on winning games then that’s the main thing. It’s great that someone is getting praise in a winning side, which is the main thing. So it’s good for him and the rest of us.”
Jansson has made seven appearances for Leeds, and he has won on five occasions.

The powerful centre-back has formed an excellent partnership with Kyle Bartley in the heart of the Whites’ defence, which has been a major reason behind Garry Monk’s side’s strong run of form.
Leeds have won five of their last six matches, and they have been victorious in four consecutive games at Elland Road.
The Yorkshire side’s impressive string of results has lifted them up to 11th in the Championship table, with their next match coming against Derby County at the weekend.
