Brendan Rodgers left Celtic for Leicester City earlier this year.

Robbie Savage of BT Sport looks on during the Emirates FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on May 27, 2017 in London, England.

Robbie Savage has told 606, which was broadcast on BBC Radio Five Live, that not one Celtic player would get into Leicester City’s side.

Brendan Rodgers controversially left Celtic to join Leicester earlier this year.

Many Celtic fans criticised the move as a step-down for Rodgers, but he has done an excellent job at the King Power Stadium so far.

Leicester are currently sat in third place in the Premier League table.

And Savage has suggested that not one Celtic player would get into the Foxes’ starting line-up.

“Globally Celtic are a bigger club, and fan base they are bigger around the world,” Savage said.

“But, in terms of the current sides, not one Celtic player would get into the Leicester team.

“Leicester, for me, are the far better side.”

Brendan Rodgers the head coach

Celtic fans may argue that the likes of Odsonne Edouard, James Forrest and Callum McGregor would all have chances of starting for Leicester.

The Foxes do have one of the strongest squads in the Premier League though, and they look to have the capabilities to really challenge for a spot in Europe this term.

Leicester won 5-0 against Newcastle United at the weekend, as they continued their impressive start to the campaign.
