Tottenham ran rampant against Swansea at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur have run out comfortable winners against Swansea City at White Hart Lane.

There was controversy over their first goal, as Harry Kane dispatched a penalty seemingly earned by a Dele Alli dive.

But in the end Spurs romped home with Heung-min Son scoring a special goal, Kane getting a second and a brace from Christian Eriksen.

It was a performance that was as good, as Swansea’s was poor.

They offered no attacking threat throughout in a game Spurs clearly deserved to win, even if a dive helped.

For two Welshman in the BT Sport Score (03/12/2016) studio it was tough to watch.

John Hartson and Robbie Savage both agreed the result could have been much worse for Swansea – with the latter suggesting double figures:

“This game! You’ve been kind, this game could have been 10!”

Hartson meanwhile suggested the Alli dive was now inconsequential:

“It is embarrassing. We said earlier it could have been more. It has been one way traffic all game.

“It has just been one-way traffic. Ultimately it (Alli’s dive) has had no bearing on the game.”

Spurs needed a win after their recent inconsistent form but it is hard to tell how much of this result was down to good play from the home side or the abject nature of Swansea’s display.

Regardless, Tottenham got the job done and will be looking forward to their next Premier League fixture v Manchester United.
