Robbie Savage puts Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho in the same bracket as Alexis Sanchez, Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard.
Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has written in The Mirror that Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is borderline world class.
Savage has included the Liverpool attacking midfielder in the same bracket as Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
“Then I would rate Sanchez, Kevin De Bruyne Eden Hazard and Philippe Coutinho as borderline world-class,” the former Wales international midfielder wrote in The Mirror.
“Why? Because they all dominate games and, if they can do it more consistently, they are all young enough to achieve the longevity that comes with being world-class.”

Coutinho is one of the best players in the Premier League and a key figure in the current Liverpool team.
The Brazil international, who can also operate as a winger, has scored four goals and created 25 chances in 10 league matches for the Reds so far this season.
The 24-year-old is not world class yet, but if he continues to play like he is doing at the moment and is more consistent, then he could be in a few years’ time.

Liverpool are going strong in the Premier League at the moment and are in the race for the title.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently fourth in the standings with 23 points from 10 matches, just two points behind leaders Chelsea.
The Merseyside outfit will take on Watford at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
