Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has praised the signing of Ashley Williams by Everton in The Mirror.
Everton signed defender Williams from Premier League rivals Swansea City last week.
According to BBC Sport, the Toffees had to pay a transfer fee of £12 million in order to secure the services of the Wales international centre-back.

Savage has hailed the signing of the 31-year-old by Everton, and believes that he is the bargain buy of the summer.
“Even at £12m for a 31-year-old, Ashley Williams is bargain of the summer,” Savage wrote in The Mirror.
“He’s a leader, a warrior and he doesn’t go missing – since 2008 he has played 28,252 out of 28,980 possible minutes in the League.”

Williams is one of the best and most underrated defenders in the Premier League.
The Welshman has been quite consistent for the past four or five years and deserves the move to Everton.
The 31-year-old still has a few good years left in him, and it is a surprise that teams like Arsenal did not make a move for him this summer.
Everton kicked off their 2016-17 Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees will return to action next weekend when they take on West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.
