Pundit says he hopes Leeds United win promotion.
Robbie Savage has told BBC Sport he would like nothing more than to see Leeds United win promotion.
Savage was speaking on Saturday night’s 606 (15/12), reacting to Leeds going top of the table.
Leeds beat Bolton 1-0 while Norwich could only draw 2-2 with Bristol City.
The former Derby and Leicester midfielder said he would like both of the top two to go up.
Savage said: “I’ve heard a few idiotic comments from people saying its bad for English football that Norwich and Leeds are top two in the Championship.
“There’s nothing more I’d like to see than Leeds United back in the Premier League.”
Savage’s comment was an indirect dig at comments made by Talksport’s Ian Abrahams.
Abrahams caused a stir by claiming he did not want to see either Leeds or Norwich go up because they did not employ English managers.
His comments have been widely criticised because both Marcelo Bielsa and Daniel Farke have given key first team roles to English academy talents this season.
Leeds have been outside the top flight since they were relegated in 2004.
