Robbie Savage picks his combined Arsenal and Tottenham starting XI.

Tottenham will face Arsenal in the north London derby after the international break on Saturday in the Premier League.

Popular football pundit, Robbie Savage, says that he feels Spurs have all the ingredients to win the Premier League title, and all they need is to sign a player with a ‘wow’ factor.

Savage has made his combined Arsenal-Spurs XI where he named only one player from Arsenal – Alexis Sanchez.

He says that Spurs should go into the north London derby with an expectation to pick up three points and any result other than that will be a huge disappointment.

Savage argues that apart from Sanchez there are no Arsenal players who can get into this present Spurs side. And even, Sanchez probably won’t be staying at the club beyond this season.

In the goalkeeper position, Savage has picked Hugo Lloris over Petr Cech. He says that the likes of Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose would get the nod ahead of Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal at the moment.

In the central defensive role, there is hardly any doubt as Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are one the best central defensive pairings in the country.

Harry Kane has been tremendous this season, and the Englishman is an obvious choice.

Here’s Savage’s combined XI: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Alli, Sanchez; Kane.

“Put it this way, how many Arsenal players now would get in Tottenham’s best XI? I can make a serious case for only one – Alexis Sanchez – and it looks like he’ll be off in 2018,” wrote Savage for The Mirror.

“Would you take Petr Cech over Hugo Lloris now? The captain of France gets my vote.

“Would you take Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac over Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose as full-backs or wing-backs? Not for me. Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen? They were the best central defensive pairing in the country last season.

“Are any of Arsenal’s holding midfielders better than Victor Wanyama, Eric Dier or Mousa Dembele? Sorry, but no.

“I like Alexandre Lacazette, but it’s hard to put him above Harry Kane on current form.

“Although Jack Wilshere could play at No.10 behind Kane for England, he’s not even starting for Arsenal every week, so my combined front three in a 4-2-3-1 formation would be Christian Eriksen, Alli and Sanchez… and what a front three they would make.”
