Robbie Savage isn’t convinced by West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew just yet.

Robbie Savage has questioned Alan Pardew’s impact since becoming West Bromwich Albion boss.
The Baggies slipped to a 2-1 defeat by Manchester United at The Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon to ensure that Pardew remains winless from his first four games since replacing axed Tony Pulis last month.
Even worse, West Brom, who sit second from bottom in the table, are without a win in 16 Premier League games, having drawn eight and lost eight since August.

Gareth Barry’s goal against the Red Devils was Albion’s first under the new manager, but Savage is not sure how much of a difference Pardew has made in the West Midlands.

Savage has a point, but then again, you could argue that the former Newcastle United boss has improved the defence a little.
West Brom shipped nine goals in Pulis’s last four Premier League games in charge, with a 4-0 home defeat by Chelsea proving his swansong, but The Hawthorns side have only conceded three in Pardew’s first four matches.
It’s not a huge improvement if goals aren’t going in at the other end, which is what will keep West Brom up, but if the 56-year-old, who oversaw a 0-0 draw at Liverpool in midweek, can recruit a few decent attacking players in January then they’ll be alright.
