Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side picked up a 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the Champions League.
Robbie Savage has praised the performance of Celtic forward Moussa Dembele against Manchester City last night, with his comments on BT Sport.
Celtic picked up a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium in their final Champions League match, with Brendan Rodgers’ side impressing.
The Bhoys matched City for much of the contest, and could have picked up a winner had they been more clinical in the final stages.
Dembele played for over an hour in the contest, before being replaced by Leigh Griffiths for the final stages.
And Savage was impressed by what he saw from the in-demand forward. He said: “I’ve been impressed with Dembele tonight. He’s made some intelligent runs, held the ball up well and he’s been a physical presence.”
Celtic took the lead in the encounter early on, when Patrick Roberts scored a fabulous solo goal.
The Bhoys could not hold on to their advantage for long though, with Kelechi Iheanacho firing City back on level terms soon after.
Celtic then edged the rest of the contest, but they could not grab a winning goal.
The Bhoys are now out of Europe, after finishing bottom of their Champions League group.
