Liverpool should sign Manchester City’s Joe Hart and Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window, suggests Robbie Savage.
Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Liverpool should sign a goalkeeper and a defender in the January transfer window.
Savage has stated that Liverpool should recruit England international goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City.
The Reds should also sign Netherlands international centre-back Virgil van Dijk from Premier League rivals Southampton, claims the former Wales international defender.

The 42-year-old made the comments following Liverpool’s defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Merseyside outfit lost 4-3 to the Cherries away from home at the Vitality Stadium despite being 2-0 up at one stage.

Liverpool made defensive errors against Bournemouth, and Savage does have a point about Jurgen Klopp’s side signing a goalkeeper and a centre-back in the January transfer window.
The problem with signing Hart is that the Englishman is on loan at Italian club Torino from City for the 2016-17 campaign.
The 29-year-old has already played for City this season, which means that he has featured for two clubs this campaign and cannot play for a third team.
