Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has been suspended by the Ibrox outfit for a training ground bust-up.

Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has defended Rangers summer signing Joey Barton in The Mirror.
Barton was recently suspended by Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers due to an altercation with a teammate in training, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
It was reported that the former Newcastle United midfielder was involved in a training ground bust-up with Rangers teammate Andy Halliday this past Tuesday.
The duo were involved in a heated verbal exchange, according to The Scottish Sun.
Barton confirmed to talkSPORT that he was told not to return to the club until Monday.

Former Wales international midfielder Savage has defended the 34-year-old, who joined the Gers in the summer transfer window after leaving Burnley at the end of the 2015-16 season.
“I get on well with Joey, and I know he moved up to Glasgow because he has a winner’s mentality and because he wanted to play in front of 50,000 fans every week instead of 20,000 at Burnley, where he was revered as much for his attitude as his ability,” Savage wrote in The Mirror.
“If one or two of Barton’s team-mates can’t handle a few home truths, maybe they should look in the mirror first before they accuse the new boy in class of causing trouble in the playground. They should feel embarrassed.”

Barton was involved in Rangers’ embarrassing 5-1 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership last weekend.
The former Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers midfielder did not feature against Ross County at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
The Gers failed to return to winning ways, playing out a goalless draw with County in the league game.
