Robbie Savage and Jamie Carragher both agree Arsenal’s title challenge is over.

Two high profile pundits believe Arsenal’s title challenge is over after Leicester City’s win over Newcastle United.

Arsenal are now 11 points behind Leicester, and even with winning their game in hand, they will still have to overcome an eight point gap.

With the Gunners winning just one of their last seven games in all competitions, a fightback is far from assured.

Robbie Savage believes the title race is now between Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

He told BBC Sport: “Eleven clear of Arsenal, 12 points ahead of Manchester City… all the money those teams have spent – it’s unbelievable.

“It’s ridiculous to think of Leicester being be so far ahead of those. It’s a two-horse race, no doubt about it. City are out of it, Arsenal are out of it.”

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also believes the Gunners have lost too much ground on Leicester.

Talking about their tough upcoming away fixtures against Everton, West Ham, and Manchester City, Carragher told SkySports Monday Night Football: “I think its too much for them to do and these (Leicester City) are in too good form.”

Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup by Watford at the weekend, who must they also face at home in the Premier League again.

Their next league game is away to Everton after their midweek clash away to Barcelona in the Champions League, where they are already 2-0 down from the first leg.
