Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler showers praise on Philippe Coutinho.
Former Liverpool striker and club legend, Robbie Fowler, believes that Barcelona’s attempt to sign Philippe Coutinho should not be taken seriously.
Reports emerged last week that Barcelona had submitted a mega bid for Coutinho which was rejected straightaway.

Jurgen Klopp, the Reds manager, has made it clear that the player is not for sale, but Fowler says Liverpool could be tempted if Barcelona come up with a crazy offer in the region of £150 million.
Fowler says that he always admired Coutinho’s talent but he was skeptical whether he could deliver on a consistent basis.
Coutinho was superb for Liverpool last season, and Fowler says not even a ridiculous bid will persuade Liverpool to sell this summer.
The former Liverpool striker has hailed the Brazilian as a “top player”, who is not only important for the Reds but is also a central figure in the Brazil team that are favourites to win the World Cup.

“He’s a top player, no doubt, and I’m sure they want him – I’m sure they believe he’ll make even their team better, yet I’m not so sure they think they can get him,” wrote Fowler in his column for The Mirror.
“Look, I may be a Liverpool fan, but I know money talks, and Barca could prove me wrong by coming back with an offer of £150million or something crazy. If they do, then all bets are off, because believe me, any club in the world would have to consider that sort of money.
“But as things stand, I genuinely believe there’s no chance of him leaving Liverpool this summer. The way Jurgen Klopp has been so firm, so resolute in saying he is definitely staying, speaks volumes to me. It shows he believes it.”
