Manchester City play host to Liverpool in the Champions League tomorrow night.

Jürgen Klopp’s side head to the Etihad tomorrow night for the second leg of their Champions League quarter final clash with the Citizens, with a three goal advantage after their first leg clash at Anfield on Wednesday.

Pep Guardiola’s side will hardly be full of confidence heading into the game, after squandering a two goal lead to lose 3-2 at home to bitter rivals Manchester United on Saturday evening.
The tie is still finely poised, however, and if there is any team who can overturn a three goal deficit, it is City.
Fowler, who scored 148 goals for Liverpool, explained why City would have been pleased with what they saw at Goodison Park on Saturday, when writing his column for the Mirror:

“I reckon the City scouts watching will have noticed how the Liverpool defence seemed to get a little flustered under pressure at the end here. Then again, scouting reports are not entirely valid when you have a centre-half making his first start since January – at left-back”
Liverpool will be desperate to have Mohamed Salah back involved, after the Egyptian missed his side’s lash with Everton at the weekend, and if they are at full strength, they will be confident in their ability to make it through to the quarter finals of Europe’s premier competition.
