The Liverpool forward has been in excellent form once again this season.
Robbie Fowler raved about the quality of Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, labelling the front-man as ‘incredible’.
Salah, 26, joined the Reds from Roma in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £34 million, and he has gone on to be a real hit at Anfield, racking up an incredible 63 goals and 24 assists in 85 appearances in all competitions.
The Egyptian is widely regarded to be one of the most dangerous forwards on the planet, and his form between now and the end of the season will have a huge bearing on Liverpool’s chances of winning either the Premier League or the Champions League.
Fowler spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and shared what he believes makes Salah so great, whilst pointing out how unorthodox the pacey front-man is:
“Him getting to 50 Premier League goals, I think he was quicker than anyone in Liverpool’s history, is incredible. At times he does look a little bit unorthodox with the way he strikes the ball. I mean, he’s not as fluent as some strikers have been in the past in the way he strikes it, but that doesn’t really matter – he’s effective.”
Liverpool’s all-time record goalscorer is Ian Rush, with 346 to his name, so it is unlikely that Salah will ever surpass that record, unless he remains at Anfield for the next decade.
The Egypt international’s primary concern, however, will be firing his side to Premier League and Champions League glory over the next few years, and if he does just that, he will cement his place in Liverpool folklore.
