What a comeback for Liverpool attacker Harvey Elliott this afternoon.

Elliott came off the bench to help Liverpool to a 3-1 FA Cup victory over Cardiff City at Anfield.

The 18-year-old, who joined the Reds in 2019, added his side’s third goal of the afternoon on what was a memorable occasion for the former Fulham sensation.

This was Elliott’s first senior game of football since September.

Earlier in the season, he suffered a horror injury in a victory away at Leeds United.

That was made even more tragic by the fact that he was making serious waves in Liverpool’s senior outfit, despite his inexperience.

However, Elliott is definitely back for Liverpool now and here’s how iconic Robbie Fowler reacted to his goal on Twitter this afternoon.

You could see by Elliott’s reaction that this was a massive thing for him.

Forget the fact that Cardiff are a Championship club – scoring on your return, after such an awful injury, is worthy of such a celebration and the Liverpool sensation deserves to feel absolutely elated.

It’ll be fascinating to see how much better Elliott’s going to get under Klopp at Anfield.

Remember, the kid is still only 18 and has already impressed this season against some major clubs, like in the stalemate versus Chelsea earlier in the campaign.

He’s only going to get better and better for the Reds.
