Can Tottenham Hotspur progress to the last 16 of the Champions League this season?

Spurs are playing in the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition for the second year in a row.
The North London outfit failed to book their spot in the knockout stages of the Champions League last season.
Fowler, though, has backed Mauricio Pochettino’s side to make it through to the last 16 of the Champions League this campaign.

The former Manchester City striker has said that Tottenham have shown that they have the right mentality to progress, having won against Borussia Dortmund at the Wembley Stadium in London in their opening group stage.
“Chelsea, Manchester City and United will surely go through and I think Spurs showed they have the right mentality to do it, with a decent win in their first game,” Fowler wrote in The Sunday Mirror (print edition, page 65, September 24, 2017). “They look as though they mean business this time around.”

Tottenham have a good bunch of players, and having played in the Champions League last season, they know what the competition entails.
Winning against Real Madrid both home and away is going to be tough, but Spurs can pick up maximum points against Apoel Nicosia in their two matches and draw with Dortmund in Germany.
