Robbie Fowler does not think that reported Manchester United target and Leicester City defender Harry Maguire is as good as Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk.

According to The Telegraph, United are interested in signing Maguire from Premier League rivals Leicester in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Red Devils will have to pay £90 million to secure the services of the England international central defender.
Former Liverpool striker Fowler has given his take on the 26-year-old, stating that although he is not as good as Reds central defender Virgil van Dijk, he is worth whatever a club is willing to pay for him.
Fowler wrote in The Sunday Mirror (print edition, page 69, July 14, 2019): “Harry Maguire is no Virgil van Dijk. But if Leicester value the England defender at £90million and there is a club out there willing to stump-up the cash, then that is his true worth in the 2019 transfer market.”
The Liverpool legend added: “If Maguire as good as Van Dijk? No. But he would still improve most teams i the Premier League – and if Manchester United decide to pay, then know he WILL make them far more formidable.”

Good signing for Manchester United?
Maguire is a very good central defender who is yet to hit his peak, and the England international will make United stronger at the back.
The 26-year-old has done well for Sheffield United, Hull City and Leicester in his career so far, and the central defender is ready to make the step-up to Manchester United.
