Former Rangers talent left Ibrox last summer.

A year ago Billy Gilmour was saying goodbye to Rangers as he took the momentous decision to leave Ibrox.
So far his decision is paying off, prompting mixed reactions from Rangers fans.

Gilmour won the FA Youth Cup with Chelsea in his first season and is now starring for Scotland’s youth side.
Gilmour netted an impressive goal for Scotland at the Toulon Toournament, showing tremendous poise, balance and finishing ability to net amid a crowded penalty area.
As their message points out… he is only 16, and Chelsea have a budding superstar on their hands… who Rangers let slip through theirs.
Perhaps Gilmour simply is the real deal, and if he is the next big thing then Rangers in their form last summer never stood a chance of holding onto him.

This summer with Steven Gerrard at the helm may be he could have been convinced to stay put, but we will never know.
Rangers fans can take solace in the fact he will surely star for Scotland’s international team in the near future, and they can boast he is ‘one of them’, but his exit remains a source of frustration.
