Rob McElhenney has pleaded for help with a “problem” after Wrexham secured promotion to League Two on Saturday.
The Welsh side registered their 34th win in the National League from just 45 games this season as they made a return to the English Football League for the first time since 2008.
Now – as revealed by himself on Twitter – McElhenney has a problem.
What’s the story?
Well, the 46-year-old simply cannot stop watching videos involving Wrexham after Saturday’s promotion to League Two.
McElhenney wrote: “I have a problem. I am addicted to watching @Wrexham_AFC videos. Please send help.”
The American was not helped by some of his 1m followers, as more footage of Wrexham’s National League title celebrations flooded the comments section of his post.
As the people of Wrexham still find themselves drunk on euphoria – and potentially drunk in the general sense as well – we would expect these videos to continue circulating around social media all throughout the summer.
As aforesaid, Wrexham have not played in the top four divisions of English football since 2008, so the Welsh outfit’s supporters will surely enjoy the moment for as long as they can.
How much did Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney pay for Wrexham?
This has become a trending question after Wrexham secured promotion to League Two.
Ryan Reynolds and McElhenney paid £2m for Wrexham – as detailed by the BBC.
The Independent state that £50,000 was immediately invested into the women’s team.

Since the takeover was confirmed in February 2021, it has proven to be a huge success.
Reynolds and McElhenney have been handed the freedom of Wrexham by the city council for their work in promoting the area, bringing huge levels of exposure to the Racecourse Ground and beyond.
It is a hugely exciting time for Wrexham, and we are eager to see what the American pair do over the summer to prepare the Welsh side for League Two.
