Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could break Alan Shearer’s Premier League record.

Former Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle striker Shearer is the all-time top scorer in the Premier League with 260 goals.
Kane is still quite far off, but the way the Tottenham striker has been playing for the past three or so seasons suggests that he could break that record.

Former Newcastle midfielder Lee has suggested that the 24-year-old England international striker could break Shearer’s record.
The 51-year-old England international has also revealed what Shearer told him when he first informed his ex-Newcastle teammate about Kane.

“I have seen him since he was playing in the youth team,” Lee told BBC Sport about Kane. “I remember seeing him score an unbelievable headed goal.
“I rang Alan Shearer up. ‘Just seen a kid who is the nearest thing I have seen to you’. Obviously Alan told me, ‘He is 260 goals behind me at the moment’.
“I think Alan’s getting a bit worried now because if he stays fit and if he stays in the Premier League, I think that record will be in trouble.”
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, and if he remains fit and continues to play in the Premier League, then he could well break Shearer’s record.
Of course, there is a long way to go, but it must be noted that the Spurs star is only 24 years of age and is very consistent.
