Mark Waburton’s Rangers side picked up a 2-1 win at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers picked up an impressive 2-1 win against rivals Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership yesterday, claiming revenge for their defeat at Pittodrie earlier in the season.

Kenny Miller got the ball rolling with yet another goal for the club before a rather less likely goalscorer found the back of the net.

Lee Hodson scored his first goal for Rangers since his summer move from MK Dons.

The Northern Ireland international is not a regular goalscorer but deserved his goal after an excellent performance in the right-back position.

After the game he was clearly pleased with the goal. He had this message for Rangers fans on Twitter after his first goal for the club:

It was certainly a surprise to see him scoring, especially for Rangers defender Rob Kiernan. The pair are both 25-years-old and came through the youth ranks at Watford together, so know each other very well.

Kiernan was therefore amused to see his old pal finding the back of the net:

Hodson will be hoping that his performance can secure him a more regular place in the Rangers first-team ahead of James Tavernier at right-back.
