Glasgow Rangers are beginning to improve after a disappointing start to the campaign.
Rob Kiernan has claimed that the level of expectations at Rangers has left the club’s summer signing shocked this season, the Daily Record reports.
Mark Warburton’s men were tipped by many to compete for the Scottish Premiership title despite only winning promotion last term.

However, things have not quite gone to plan at Ibrox. Though the team sit second, they have struggled to replicate the form they showed last season, and are already some distance behind Celtic.
And following their draw with St Johnstone in midweek, the full-time whistle was greeted with a series of boos from around the ground.
An while Kiernan is not surprised that the Light Blues’ start has not been good enough to fully appease disgruntled supporters, he suggested that some of the more recent additions have been taken aback.

“I knew six weeks after coming in here,” he said, as reported by the Record when discussing the level of expectation.
“I thought, ‘Wow, this is different to what I’m used to’.
“For the lads who weren’t here before, it’s been a shock. It was for me when I first arrived.”
What will please the supporters is the way that Rangers bounced back following the disappointing draw on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Warburton’s side claimed a comfortable victory over Kilmarnock that elevated them into the position of the Hoops’ nearest challengers.
But with a trio of very winnable games ahead for the Gers, Kiernan and his teammates will now definitely not be shocked if the fans are less than happy if they fail to build upon the 3-0 win over Killie.
