Arsenal defender Rob Holding’s message to Nathaniel Phillips after Celtic loan move from Liverpool
The £64,615-a-week (Spotrac) defender has joined the Hoops on a loan deal from Liverpool until January 2024.
Arsenal central defender Holding is among those who have wished the 26-year-old central defender well at Celtic.
Holding wrote: “Keemon!! All the best mate 🍀”
Phillips is a very good defender, but he did not get enough chances in the Liverpool first team.
When the 26-year-old did play for Jurgen Klopp’s side, he was very good and did his job well.
Phillips is a very capable defender who knows how to defend and does not mess about.
Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world.
The Hoops are aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title yet again this season and will also play in the UEFA Champions League.
Phillips has played in Europe with Liverpool, and that will come in handy for Celtic.
The defender had his best season for Liverpool in 2020-21 when he made 20 appearances, including three in the Champions League.
Phillips got his chance then due to injury issues.
Celtic, though, should have confidence in the defender.
Phillips has made 19 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The 26-year-old has scored one goal, given one assist, and kept seven clean sheets in those games.
