Leeds United’s Robert Green
Leeds United moved to solve their goalkeeping issues this summer with the signing of Rob Green from QPR on a free.
The former England international arrived as the club were continually unimpressed with the erratic performances of Marco Silvestri.
Green signed a one-year deal with the option of another should he play a certain number of games for the club and he expressed his wish to make that a reality today when talking to BBC Radio Leeds.

He had this to say about a potential extension to his contract at the end of the season:
“If I can yes.
“I’ve got a year here and if I play a certain number of games I get another year so it’s one I want to play those games.
“I want to carry on playing. As long as I am fit and as long as I am healthy and needed somewhere I’ll carry on going.”
At the age of 36 some might be thinking about winding down but the Leeds goalie is in great shape and probably plans on playing for a few more seasons yet.

Leeds however appears to be his aim, with a two-year project clearly in mind for the player – who has moved his family to Yorkshire when making the move.
He started off shaky but put in an improved performance against Blackburn Rovers in midweek and appears to be shaking off the cobwebs at Elland Road.
If he can find his best form then Leeds will no doubt welcome him back next season with open arms.
