Leeds United suffered their sixth Championship defeat on Saturday.

Speaking to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United goalkeeper Rob Green has outlined one positive to be taken from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat Derby County.
Johnny Russell’s second-half strike settled quite an evenly-fought clash at the iPro Stadium as Leeds suffered their second successive away defeat – and sixth overall.
The defeat bore a resemblance to United’s last loss when they went down 1-0 at Bristol City in what was another very close game which could have gone either way.

On another day, Garry Monk’s side might have returned to Yorkshire with at least a point for their efforts after hitting the crossbar twice at Derby.
And speaking to The YEP, veteran goalkeeper Green says the fact that Leeds are competitive even in their defeats is “crucial” for the team.

“We’ve still been in the game and we’ve still had chances. Even though there wasn’t a performance for 90 minutes, we were in the game. That’s crucial.”
Leeds bounced back from their Bristol setback by beating Barnsley in the subsequent home game, and Monk will hope that the same happens on Tuesday when Wigan Athletic visit Elland Road.
