The Leeds United goalie is very happy to have the Swede in front of him.
Leeds United goalkeeper Robert Green has been singing the praises of Swedish defender Pontus Jansson this week.
The central defender was brought in on loan from Torino in the summer and has easily become a fan favourite at Elland Road for his strong performances at the back for the club.
Green is certainly one man to have benefitted. With Jansson in front of him the former England international goalkeeper has thrived and Leeds defence has been rock solid.

He was asked about the impact Jansson has made by TV Yorkshire this week. While he was keen to play up the Swede, he also made it clear the entire squad deserve credit for Leeds’ current good form:
“How many minutes was that before he got mentioned? It’s great to have players who can add something to the squad.

“When it comes to close games and lots of balls come into the box that’s when Pontus comes into his own.
“He’s a great asset for a lot of crosses, clearing of the ball. That comes with the Championship, comes with the territory.
“He’s part of a team that’s improving and he’s taken a lot of performances and done very well. But he is one of 11, 18, 25 players each week that come out and perform.
“It’s not about one man, but he’s a great attribute.”
Leeds take on Norwich City this weekend in the Championship knowing a win might push them into the play-off places ahead of the international break.

Norwich go into the game on a run of bad form themselves and Leeds will be confident after a much-changed side knocked the Canaries out of the EFL Cup recently.
With Jansson at the back, Norwich will find it difficult to score and Leeds will hope they can snatch another victory this weekend.
