West Ham United are reportedly revising their interest in Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, 28, as their pursuit of a central midfielder continues.

The deal was initially thought to be a loan move, however, Sk ySports claims the Hammers are willing to pay up to £20million for the Frenchman.

Schneiderlin earned a big move to Manchester United from Southampton in 2015. However, he never managed to hold down a starting position at Old Trafford. After only 18 months with the Red Devils the 28-year-old moved on to Everton, where he has gone on to make 43 appearances since, scoring one goal.

With Sam Allardyce having midfield options in abundance at Goodison Park the former England boss is thought to be happy to allow the Frenchman to leave, with West Ham desperate to bolster their central options.

David Moyes has failed in his pursuit of Joe Allen and Jonjo Shelvey and is thought to view Schneiderlin as a realistic capture ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline day.

With news of a potential £20million move on the horizon, many West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on their potential new arrival.

Despite their thin options in midfield, Hammers fans do not seem enthusiastic regarding the former Southampton man, with many highlighting the fact that the club only recently spoke of their lack of transfer funds before rumours arose today of sizeable fee.
