As things stands, it’s still Celtic’s league title to lose, but with many star performers from last season having failed to reach the heights of last year, here’s three individuals who need to step up their game to ensure the club seals a second consecutive domestic treble.

Scott Sinclair

Scott Sinclair of Celtic reacts during the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The former Swansea star may have netted 17 goals this season, but he is the club’s penalty taker. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers’ decision to drop Sinclair to the bench for both Zenit St Petersburg games was a clear indication of where the striker’s game is currently at. Sinclair needs to work on his searing pace and ability to turn on a sixpence, which tormented full-backs from throughout last season.

Tom Rogic

Tom Rogic has experienced many injury lay-offs throughout his time at Celtic, but returned to full fitness for the Zenit game in Russia.

Rogic has been the game changer on frequent occasions in green and white, and famously netted this side’s late winner against Aberdeen last term to seal the historic treble. On his day, the attacking midfielder is unplayable, and serves the team perfectly with his ability to link the midfield and forwards.

Rediscovering his best form in the remaining 10 games, Rogic could make a significant difference to the success of his team.

Moussa Dembele

Surrounded with transfer rumours from the day he set foot in Glasgow, Moussa Dembele has had a fairly disrupted season in terms of minutes on the pitch and scoring goals. The French youngster has bagged 10 goals this term, and done little to match the heights of last season.

With Leigh Griffiths enduring a tough spell on the sidelines, Dembele’s goals have never been more vital for Celtic. In the last couple of weeks, Dembele’s performance level has risen and he does look to be coming into some form. With the Rangers came coming up next weekend, however, Rodgers and the fans will be hopeful of a characteristic Dembele Old Firm performance – a fixture in which he has produced some of the best football in his career to date.
