Stoke City have ended their interest in New York City’s Jack Harrison, 21, with the youngster looking likely to join Middlesbrough according to the Stoke Sentinel.

The Potters were thought to be extremely keen to bring the England under-21 international back to his home-town club, however, complications over agreeing on a transfer fee have put the club off the deal.

There has even been rumours that Harrison may join Manchester City, New York City’s parent club, on a permanent deal and be loaned back out to Middlesbrough.
