Roy Hodgson looks to address his never ending injury crisis by bringing in six or seven players to Crystal Palace during this transfer window.

Things went from bad to worse in terms of injuries for Crystal Palace last night as they crashed out of the FA Cup to a controversial late winner against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Roy Hodgson’s squad was already severely hampered by injuries, with the likes of Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon confirmed to be out for the season. Following last night’s game Jeffrey Schlupp and Andros Townsend now join the list.

Palace currently sit 14th in the table on 22 points, two points above the relegation zone but also only three points from 10th place.
The Eagles have every chance to stay up this season, but it is imperative they strengthen their squad this January with so many crucial names unavailable for selection.
Speaking to Sky Sports Hodgson said: “We have been waiting for the January transfer window to fulfil our wishes and our thoughts in terms of strengthening our squad. That has become even more vitally important with the number of injuries we suffered.

“You could argue that if we said we wanted three or four then really we should be looking at six or seven, because we have lost at least two players for the rest of this season, and probably the start of next season.
“We have got to find the solution to which player or players we want to bring in, and in which positions. At the moment we are still sifting through the candidates and they will be put before me.”
Palace next face Burnley at home on Saturday and will ideally have brought in one or two new faces by then.
