Scotland defeated Germany in their final Under-17s Euro Championship qualification game thanks to a winner from Rangers starlet Dapo Mebude.

Rangers fans will be delighted to learn that Scotland under-17s defeated their highly regarded German counterparts thanks to the work of academy duo Dapo Mebude and Nathan Patterson.
The two nations were tied at a deadlock at half time, only for Patterson to assist Mebude in the second half which was enough to seal victory for the young Scots.
Last summer, Mebude signed his first professional contract with the Gers after consistently impressing for the younger academy sides. A serious talent, nearing the age when players begin to break through to the first-team, the youngster will have eyes on forcing his way into Graeme Murty’s thoughts through his continued excellence for the Rangers youth teams.
Recent seasons have seen a high number of Rangers youngsters get their chance in the first-team such as Myles Beerman, Ross McCrorie and Ryan Hardie, giving Mebude both added inspiration and a realistic point to aim for.
Unfortunately for the Rangers duo and their international teammates, Scotland will play no further part in the under-17s Euros having lost their opening two qualifying games to Norway and Greece.
Following news of the youngsters’ winner, some fans took to Twitter to express their delight for Mebude, some suggesting he should be forcing his way into the first-team sooner rather than later.
