Rangers’ Scotland under-21 international Ross McCrorie has not featured for the Light Blues since December.

The 20-year-old was injured during a match against Ross County earlier in the season, but was able to push through the pain barrier to make it to the winter break. However, since the Gers’ winter training trip to Florida, the youngster has not featured.
With David Bates and Russell Martin both out injured, Murty will welcome the return of his useful utility man, who can play in both the heart of defence and defensive midfield.
McCrorie had grown to become a valuable member of the starting team prior to his injury lay off, making nearly 20 appearances for the club in what has been his breakthrough season at Ibrox following loan spells away to Dumbarton and Ayr United.

However, having signed Sean Goss, Greg Docherty and Russell Martin in January, with a fully fit squad, McCrorie may struggle to achieve as many minutes on the pitch as he did before the festive period.
Nevertheless, the return of McCrorie is a huge boost to Murty’s squad. On top of the youngster returning, club captain Lee Wallace and summer arrival Graham Dorrans are also both nearing full fitness.
Rangers will be desperate to put their two recent losses to Celtic and Kilmarnock behind them by producing a dominant performance and victory away at Motherwell this weekend, with the view to regaining some momentum ahead of their make-or-break Scottish Cup semi-final against arch rivals Celtic.
