Ian Holloway, Manager of Queens Park Rangers looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Fulham and Queens Park Rangers at Craven Cottage on March 17, 2018 in London, England.

QPR manager Ian Holloway has confirmed that soon to be out-of-contract trio Jamie Mackie, James Perch and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas will be leaving Loftus Road at the end of the season.

Mackie, who has enjoyed two spells with Rangers during his career, has made nearly 150 appearances for the club and will be sorely missed by the fans, enjoying his only taste of the Premier League when the club made it to the top flight between 2011 and 2013.

Perch joined QPR in 2015, and has made the best part of a century of appearances for the West London club, having played for some big clubs in Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest throughout his career.

Speaking to the QPR website, Holloway said: “We’ve had some tough decisions to make, but it was important we did things in the right way.

“Perchy and Jamie are outstanding professionals and they’ve reacted to my decision in the way I’d expect them to. They’ve been nothing but respectful of the decision.

“On behalf of everyone at the club, I wish them well for the future and thank them for their contribution to QPR.”

Following the news of the axed trio, some QPR fans have taken to Twitter to express their reactions, with a few calling for 32-year-old Mackie to be kept on at the club as a coach. Others explained their belief that Perch still has a lot to offer, and seemed confused by the decision, while others simply agreed that the club were making the right call.
