Championship promotion chasers Fulham have been enjoying a terrific run of late.

Slavisa Jokanovic, Manager of Fulham looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Fulham and Sheffield United at Craven Cottage on March 6, 2018 in London, England.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s Fulham have set a new unbeaten run club record, having gone an impressive 16 games without a loss.

On their run they have recorded 12 wins, four draws and scored 39 goals while only conceding 13. Having finished sixth last season, the club are currently sitting in third and have a real shot at making it back to the Premier League.

With such a strong run of results going into the final period of games this season, having just overtaken Aston Villa to claim third place for the first time in the campaign, Jokanovic’s men could not be hitting their stride at a better time.

January arrival Aleksandar Mitrovic, a Newcastle loanee, has performed terrifically and has helped share the weight of the scoring, which had been on the likes of Ryan Sessegnon and Aboubakar Kamara, who have scored 14 and seven respectively.

Speaking to the Fulham website on the new club record, captain Thomas Cairney explained it would take a few days to sink in properly, describing it as an amazing achievement.

“It’s an amazing thing,” the skipper said. “Maybe in a few days it will sink in a little bit more and people will start saying what a good team we’ve got here. It’s a special record.”

With second-placed Cardiff City still with a lot of games to play against team surrounding them in the table, Neil Warnock’s men have plenty of chances to drop points, and Fulham should be trying to concentrate on extending their unbeaten record in the hope that they can leapfrog the Welsh club into the automatic promotion spots.

It has been three seasons since Fulham were last competing in England’s top flight and, with Crystal Palace looking likely to go down, there could be a new London team back in the Premier League if things fall into place for Jokanovic.
