The striker spent the first half of the season at league strugglers Sunderland but still enjoyed decent scoring form.
Aston Villa were delighted to announce their deadline day capture of Bournemouth forward Lewis Grabban, 30, as revealed by the official club website.
Grabban secures his second loan spell away from the Cherries this season, having spent the first half of the campaign with Sunderland.
The Croydon-born forward enjoyed decent scoring form for the Black Cats, finding the net on 12 occasions during his 20 appearances for the club.
Grabban will no doubt add a lot to Villa’s attacking force, with 114 career goals to date across the Premier League and the Football League.
With Villa sitting third in the table, they remain in the hunt for promotion, and have enjoyed the best form of any team in the league of late with five wins from their last five games.
The 30-year-old could play a huge part if Villa are to seal an automatic promotion spot, and make it back into the Premier League at the second time of asking.
Speaking to the club website, new signing Grabban said: “It’s a pleasure to be at a club like Aston Villa.
“You only have to look at the stadium, the history and the support to know that this club deserves to be in the Premier League and hopefully I can play my part in getting this club back to where it belongs.
“It’s an unbelievable squad of players here and they’re on a great run of form as well so it’s a great time to be joining.”
