With the top six confirmed, Celtic face a trip to Hamilton before the league split takes place, and they should not struggle to pick up a result against the ninth-placed side.

Brendan Rodgers will once again be without his club stalwart Kieran Tierney, who is expected to return from injury in mid-April, while Nir Bitton and Jonny Hayes are still out.

With Craig Gordon having return to the starting line-up last week, the Scotland ‘keeper looks set to retain his place after a strong performance, demoting Scott Bain and Dorus de Vries.

With Tierney out as mentioned above, Callum McGregor should resume his makeshift full-back role, having excelled in his new position in recent weeks. Jack Hendry and Dedryk Boyata will likely line up in the heart of defence, with Mikael Lustig resuming his right-back position, despite his continually dwindling performance level in a Hoops shirt.

Craig Gordon of Celtic arrives at the stadium prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Stuart Armstrong – who was one of the club’s standout players in the midweek draw with Dundee – will likely line up alongside Scott Brown in the middle of the park, with Olivier Ntcham resigned to a spot on the bench once again.

Tom Rogic should start in attacking midfield, with Charly Musonda, who has been used sparingly in the first few months of his 18-month loan deal from Chelsea, potentially coming in for Scott Sinclair on the left wing with the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers in mind. As usual, James Forrest should start on the right flank, with Leigh Griffiths likely to be handed a start to continue his return to full match sharpness.
