Wales international James Chester is drawing great praise from the Aston Villa faithful for his performances.
Aston Villa centre-half has been branded ‘Mr Consistent’ by the fans, with the Welshman’s recent performances not having gone unnoticed.
The former Manchester United youth player joined Villa in 2016, and has gone on to enjoy a two decent seasons at the club, for whom he is nearing a century of appearances.
Adored by the Villa fans for his consistency and quality, Chester has developed quite the reputation at Villa Park and, following his performance against Sunderland this week, in which he netted his side’s second goal, the fans took to Twitter to express their gratitude to the defender.
Villa have demonstrated remarkable consistency at the back, having conceded less than a goal a game with only 32 in 35 league matches this season, and their defensive solidity has played a huge role in their push towards promotion.
Currently sitting third, the club still have a great chance to qualify automatically but, if not, given their form across the season you would give them a real chance of making it through the play-offs.
Having tasted the Premier League with Hull City and West Bromwich Albion, Chester will no doubt be itching to restore Villa’s top flight status and test himself once again against the best in the business.
