The England under-21 defender has been linked with a move away from the City Ground to various Premier League clubs.
Nottingham Forest centre-back Joe Worrall, 21, has set the record straight regarding his future at City Ground, according to the BBC.
The youngster was quick to quash rumours over a potential move away, insisting that he is fully committed to his boyhood club, despite alleged interest from Crystal Palace and Burnley.
Nottingham-born Worrall is a Forest academy product and has made a half century of appearances for his team since debuting last season.
Speaking the the BBC, the defender said: “I am committed to Forest. Everybody knows I’m a fan. I love playing for the club and don’t want to leave.”
Having made 28 appearances for Forest already this season, the 21-year-old has emerged as a crucial member of Aitor Karanka’s squad.
Worrall went on to add, “My dad is asking me all time, he’s like ‘where are you going?’
“I just turn up to training every day and get on with my job. All the rumours and speculation, everyone can say what they want, but I am a Forest player.”
Karanka also opened up on his side’s transfer activity, explaining that no player will depart the club unless a suitable replacement is brought in.
“The main thing is to finish the transfer market with a better squad than we have and with players who really want to stay with us,” he said, “If players want to leave, and we have the right replacements, then it won’t be a problem.”
Forest are currently 14th in the Championship with 35 points on the board and their next match is a FA Cup clash against Hull City this weekend.
