Liverpool loanee Divock Origi may be keen on making his switch to Germany permanent.
Divock Origi, 22, has stated his intention of extending his stay at Wolfsburg with the hope of making his loan deal permanent come the end of the season.
The young Belgian forward left for the Bundesliga having fallen down the pecking order at Anfield competing for a place in the team with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and now Mohamed Salah.
Origi netted 21 goals in 86 appearances for the Reds before moving to Wolfsburg on loan where he has scored 4 goals in 15 league games so far.
According to the Liverpool Echo, speaking to reporters about Wolfsburg’s intent to sign him permanently Origi said: “I take that as a compliment that the club rates me.
“Several factors play a role. I am someone who is enjoying the moment. I think everything is possible. I focus on here and now. I have a good relationship with Liverpool but feel really well here at Wolfsburg.
“We’ll sit down at the end of the season and talk, we’ll see what’s next.” Right now, I am here for another six months and I am open for everything.”
With Philippe Coutinho having recently left Liverpool to Barcelona in one of the most expensive deals in history Liverpool are thought to be keen to add another attacking player to their roster to fill the gulf left by the Brazilian.
Should they land the likes of Alexis Sanchez, whom they have been heavily linked with, or a player of this calibre, that would surely spell the end for Origi at Anfield.
