Andrew Robertson and Sadio Mane have developed quite the partnership down the left flank for Liverpool this season.

Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson has grown to become one of the signings of the summer this term having arrived from Hull City for a bargain £8million (BBC).
The Scotland left-back jumped at the chance to start after usual full-back Alberto Moreno, who was enjoying the best football of his Reds career, got injured and Robertson has not looked back since.
For the boy who was kicking a ball for Queen’s Park in front of an empty Hampden Park not too long ago, the 24-year-old probably never thought he would be about to line up for England’s most successful club in Europe against a Pep Guardiola led Manchester City side in the Champions League quarter-final.
Nonetheless, Robertson is relishing the opportunity and cannot wait to get going. The Scotsman made a huge impact in the game when his side defeated City at Anfield earlier this year, and the left-back will be hoping for much of the same this time round.

As reported by the Daily Record, Robertson said: “If there’s a chance to go forward I’ll be getting forward to attack. Sadio [Mane] and I will be on that side and hopefully we’ll cause them problems. Hopefully we’ll get back into our formation quite quickly if we break down but we’re at home and we need to create chances.”
Robertson went on the explain that he believes his side are an improving defensive unit and will be better equipped to face the likes of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane, all of whom scored in their match against Everton at the weekend.
“We believe we’re getting better defensively,” the left-back added, “City have conceded goals this season that doesn’t get highlighted. We conceded a goal Saturday and there was probably more than one mistake in it but we won the game. If we win these two games we’re through to the semi-final.”
The prospect of reaching a European Cup semi-final is massive for Liverpool and would be a real statement of intent from Jurgen Klopp and his squad.
The all-English showdown should be quite the spectacle given the attacking prowess of both sides, and it is one that most fans will be looking forward to.
