The Rangers man tweeted a mark of respect for his full-back teammate after their 4-1 annihilation of St Johnstone away.

Rangers midfielder Josh Windass scored yet another goal last night, as his side ran out rampant 4-1 victors over league strugglers St Johnstone.
First half goals from James Tavernier, Windass and Sean Goss were enough to put the game beyond the Saints, while Alfredo Morelos popped up with his 17th goal of the season in the second half.
Jason Kerr was on hand for the home side to net a consolation goal in the 62nd minute, as Rangers saw out the game as comfortable winners.
Despite not getting in on the scoring action, midfield man Andy Halliday, 26, earned a rare start, having not played a lot of football for Rangers this season.

With Declan John out and Lee Wallace not being risked, the left-footed midfielder took up the position of left-back where he has featured on occasion throughout his career, causing Windass to jokingly tweet a comparison between the 26-year-old and Real Madrid and Brazil legend Marcelo.
As expected, the Rangers fans found the comparison fairly comical, many of whom took to Twitter to express their reaction over Windass’s claim as well as generally tweeting support to Halliday after a rare feature.
Many tweeted similarly lightheartedly back to the Englishman, with others suggesting more seriously that, if he remains as the stand in left-back while Declan John is out, he should up his defensive game with the success of the team in mind.
