Aston Villa youngster Jack Grealish has been out for a couple of weeks after suffering a calf injury against Birmingham City.

Jack Grealish made his return to first team after action last night as promotion chasers Aston Villa made the trip the Stadium of Light to take on rock bottom Sunderland.
Villa were dominant victors on the night, taking all three points back the Midlands as goals from Lewis Grabban, James Chester and an own goal from Bryan Oviedo were more than enough to down Chris Coleman’s strugglers.
Following a calf injury in the derby match against Birmingham last month, Steve Bruce has been without star attacker Grealish for the last few matches, and welcomed his return to action last night.

The 22-year-old life long Villa fan was added to the fray at the 67th minute mark, and despite the game already being wrapped up by this point, the youngster did not fail to impress.
Grealish summed up his emotions on his return via a tweet to fans which read…
Not that he had a point to prove, but Grealish went about his business clearly trying to catch the eye of manager Bruce to prove that there is no need to ease him back into the team and instead allow him to continue on from where he left off prior to his injury set back.
His performance and impact off the bench did not go unnoticed by the fans either, who took to Twitter to express their delight over their cult hero’s return.

At only 22, having made his debut in 2014, Grealish is rapidly approaching a century of first team appearances, and should the team push on from here and gain promotion as expected, he will have his eyes on gaining a full England call up next season as a Premier League player.
Here is a round up of some of the reaction surrounding Grealish’s performance last night…
