Two bids from Hull City for Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna have been met with a stern rejection

Hull City have had a second bid for Aberdeen centre-back Scott McKenna, 21, rejected according to SkySports.
Tigers manager Nigel Adkins confirmed his club’s interest in the young Scottish prospect following his side’s 0-0 draw at the weekend against Reading.
“He [McKenna] is a left-footed centre-half who has a big future in front of him. We have made a bid,” Adkins said as reported by SkySports.
“There is definite interest from ourselves but he is an Aberdeen plater and I’ve got a lot of respect for Derek McInnes and for what he has done up there.”
“Anything we do will be in the right manner, we don’t want to unsettle anybody.”

McKenna burst onto the scene at Pittodrie this season and has made 16 appearances for the Dons so far, claiming the left-centre-back position for his own.
The Scotland U21 international is adored by his manager who has praised the youngster throughout the season.
In a recent interview McInnes conceded that McKenna will undoubtedly move on at some point, however, any approach made for his player this January will be met with a categorical no in a stern warning to ward off other clubs.

“Scott McKenna is not for sale in January, I am not looking to move on any of my players,” McInnes said, according to the Evening Express.
“There has been two bids from Hull, but the second one was just re-structured.”
“What was offered was way below even what he is worth.”
“Scott will move on at some point, but it won’t be this month. We signed him on a four-year deal and I firmly believe he will go on and prove his worth, and we will sell him at a top, top fee when it comes along.”
“If any more offers come in they would be wasting their time, certainly this month.”
