Everton’s Turkish striker Cenk Tosun should be eyeing a second start in a row after netting his first goal for the club against Burnley.

January arrival Cenk Tosun finally got off the mark for the Toffees at the weekend, giving Everton the lead at Turf Moor, heading home his first goal in English football.
Unfortunately for the Turk, his goal was cancelled out by two second half Burnley strikes, as Everton went on to lose their 13th league game of the season.
Sam Allardyce’s men currently sit seven points above the drop zone in 11th place, but are by no means safe from relegation.
Having barely netted a goal a game as a team, the Everton squad will be hoping Tosun can kick on from his Burnley performance and continue to get on the score sheet as the team enters their final nine fixtures of the campaign.
Whether we see Tosun turn out as part of the starting XI, however, remains to be seen, with Sam Allardyce appearing to be biding his time in terms of exposing the striker to the demands of the Premier League.

Tosun has an impressive enough scoring record in his nine seasons in professional football with 114 goals in 276 games, however, many individuals who have hit great heights around other European leagues have flopped in England, and the Turk will be wary of experiencing similar fortunes.
With the former England manager likely to opt with Tosun to lead the line against Brighton at Goodison Park on the weekend, many Everton fans have taken to Twitter to express their views on whether the striker should start.

A decent portion of fans seem to expect the former Besiktas man to start having scored last week, whilst others cited the manager’s lack of attacking ambition as the main barrier to Tosun thriving as a Toffees star.
Here is a round up of some of the reaction…
