Glasgow Rangers have signed five players this January while only allowing two to leave.

Rangers boss Graeme Murty has admitted his squad is a little heavy, according to the Scottish Sun.
The Gers have been extremely busy this January window, as Murty set about rebuilding the squad in an attempt to bridge the gap between them and league leaders Celtic.
So far, Rangers have added five players to their squad in the form of Jamie Murphy, Sean Goss, Jason Cummings, Russell Martin and Greg Docherty, while the Ibrox club have also seen three players return from loan spells (Michael O’Halloran, Joe Dodoo and Andy Halliday).

Only two senior players have gone in the other direction, with Carlos Pena and Danny Wilson both departing the club.
According to the Sun, speaking about Wilson’s departure to the United States, Murty said: “Danny Wilson was fantastic for us and scored vital goals but he decided that he had an option that suited him and his family.
“We had a long sit down and Danny explained this was a move that would be for the benefit of his family.

The 26-year-old Scottish international rejoined Rangers in 2015 from Hearts after a failed spell in England with Liverpool. The centre-back confirmed his move to MLS side Colorado Rapids yesterday, meaning Rangers will lose a defensive option.
However, with Martin’s signing Murty was quick to highlight his contentment with his options.
“As we stand I am comfortable with the options we have in defence,” the Rangers boss added.
