The Tottenham Hotspur legend believes this is the perfect time for injured players to return and help the side push for a top-four finish.

The game saw Erik Lamela, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks and Danny Rose all return to the fold, which will be mightily important for the team in the weeks and months to come according to Hoddle.
Pochettino’s side experienced somewhat of a rough patch between late October and mid December, with the club losing four games and drawing two out of their nine league fixtures. This period also saw the North London club crash out of the EFL Cup after suffering a 3-2 defeat at home at the hands of city rivals West Ham United.

Since the turn of the new year, however, Tottenham have regained momentum and picked up some strong results, most recently against Manchester United and Liverpool.
The return of the injured quartet could not come at a better time, with Spurs due to play Arsenal and Juventus in the next five days.
“Lamela was better, he’s getting fitter and fitter and its great for him to have 90 minutes under his belt. This will put him right up the ladder on his fitness and sharpness,” Hoddle explained to BT Sport.
“It’s a good time in the season to have all these players back fit, Alderweireld played today, he had 90 minutes under his belt.

“Harry Winks was back, Rose could shape up at the weekend, it’s a good time to get all these player’s back for Spurs.”
Lamela will have an added incentive to perform, having missed over a year of football due to a serious hip injury. On top of this, with January arrival Lucas Moura lurking in the wings, and the club still hopeful of landing Bordeaux’s Brazilian starlet Malcom, the Argentine must prove his worth to Pochettino if he is to warrant a place in the squad for next season.
This was very much a make-or-break month for the North London club. However, as Hoddle pointed out, the players returning from injury will only help the squad build on their brilliant start to the toughest run of fixtures they will experience all season.
