Sunderland centre back Tyias Browning has been ruled out for the rest of the season following a groin injury.

Sunderland AFC recently confirmed they will be without Everton loanee Tyias Browning for the rest of the season, after the youngster suffered a groin injury against Aston Villa at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday.
The centre-half joined the Black Cats on loan at the start of the season and has made 27 appearances during his time on Wearside.
Despite being a promising young defender, Browning has been powerless in his attempts to help the club on their attempts to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, with the season quickly turning from a hopeful promotion chase to a relegation battle.
For the majority of the season, Sunderland have sat in the relegation zone and currently remain there in 24th place on 28 points, four points from safety with many teams above them possessing a game in hand.

Manager Chris Coleman described the news regarding Browning as ‘a blow’, however, Sunderland fans appear to view the situation as the complete opposite.
Many fans took to Twitter to express their views on the Browning news in typical fashion, however, their sheer lack of support for the defender may take many by surprise.
There is no doubt that the entire Sunderland squad has under-performed massively this season, and all members of the team can share the blame, however, it is rare to see fans actually celebrate a season ending injury for a member of their own team.
